Snacks are optional. Only eat when you are hungry. If you feel that your blood glucose level is low (hypoglycemia) or if you need extra energy, eat 15 to 30 grams of a carbohydrate.

Most nutritional experts agree that anyone on a weight-loss program must supplement their diet with a full range of vitamins and minerals.You should discuss with your doctor what vitamins and minerals you should consider. Always discuss with your doctor if you are with disease or taking prescribed medication.
