Employ these techniques in your weight-loss and exercise program will lead to you achieving your health goals.
- You must truly want to succeed. Whether your motivation is to live a healthier, longer life or simply to look and feel better, reaching and maintaining an ideal weight depends upon a strong desire.
- Write down reasons for your past weight gain (e.g. lack of exercise, skipping breakfast, stress, too much fat in diet, etc.).
- To maintain your ideal weight, you must review how you got there in the first place and learn from experience.
- To increase motivation, make a list of the reasons you want to lose weight in the first place (e.g. medical reasons, appearance, longer life, fitting into stylish clothes).
- You should make it a part of your health routine to review these reasons. Put your list in a visible place, such as the refrigerator door. Review this list when you start to lose motivation.
