- Schedule time for both aerobic and weight training exercises. To receive the greatest benefit from an exercise program it must be done on a regular basis. This means that you need to schedule the days and hours of your exercise sessions.

Daily exercise not only raises the body's metabolic rate, but it uses fat as its main fuel source, raises the level of HDL, helps control appetite, builds lean muscle tissue, improves muscle tone, and releases endorphins that can enhance your sense of wellbeing.
- Start thinking of food in terms of its nutritional breakdown. Many people find the food exchange system a great help in learning about foods and their nutritional breakdown.
