Listening to audiotapes is a helpful way to learn relaxation skills. You can write out your own script and have a friend read it to you or record a tape to use during relaxation sessions. Be certain the voice is calm, interesting, and pleasing. Or, you may find it easier to purchase a prerecorded tape. You can also record relaxing music on a tape to promote relaxation.
